What your result means

Occupational exposure differs from holiday exposure in shape: it is chronic, daily and concentrated on the face, ears, neck, forearms and hands. That pattern is most strongly associated with squamous and basal cell carcinoma and with actinic keratoses — the rough, scaly precancerous patches that often appear on the scalp, ears and backs of the hands years before anything else.

The workplace-protection domain is the one an employer controls. Shade at breaks, scheduling heavy work outside peak UV, providing wide-brim hats, long sleeves and sunscreen, and running periodic skin-awareness sessions all reduce dose without reducing output.
